Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Transpower New Zealand is seeking a detail-focused procurement professional to coordinate tender processes from release through to award. You will act as a central liaison between Transpower and suppliers, ensuring fair, transparent and well-documented activity in line with policies.
This role suits someone who thrives on structured processes, accuracy and cross-team collaboration, with a focus on records, audits and continuous improvement across systems and reporting.
Our core purpose is to empower the energy future for New Zealand – a future that delivers a net-zero carbon economy and a reliable and secure electricity system.
At Transpower, we own and operate the National Grid, connecting New Zealanders to the electricity they rely on every day. Our Procurement Services team supports the wider business with practical procurement guidance, tools, reporting and specialist support, helping ensure our tender activity is well governed, consistent and fit for purpose.
You’ll manage and administer Transpower’s published tender processes from release to market through to supplier communications and award notifications. As a central point of coordination between Transpower and suppliers, you’ll help ensure tender activity is fair, transparent, well documented and aligned with our procurement policies and procedures.
This is a role for someone who enjoys variety, structure, accuracy and working with a wide range of people. You’ll help internal stakeholders understand the right process to follow, maintain clear records and audit trails, and support continual improvement across tender administration, systems and reporting.
Experience with procurement, tendering, probity or contract administration in New Zealand would be useful, but it’s your process rigour, influencing and communication skills, and commitment to doing things well that will set you up for success! A tertiary qualification or Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) qualification while not essential – is advantageous.
Our people care deeply about each other and New Zealand. With more than thirty-one ethnicities represented across Transpower, our diverse perspectives, knowledge and experience are willingly shared.
We work in the office or on site for at least three days each week to support collaboration, learning and delivery, and prioritise wellbeing through a broad range of health and wellness benefits. Read more atwww.transpower.co.nz/about-us/careers-transpower/staff-benefits
