Belron New Zealand invites you to join Smith&Smith Albany as an Autoglass Technician, repairing, replacing and recalibrating vehicle glass with modern tools. You’ll work directly with customers, offer expert advice, and promote value‑added products while delivering top‑quality workmanship.

We provide comprehensive training toward a National Certificate in Automotive Reglazing (Level 3) NZQF, ongoing development, and opportunities for overseas assignments within the Belron group.

Qualifications

• No prior autoglass repair experience required; comprehensive training provided.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Clean driver’s license and unrestricted NZ work rights.
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.

The Opportunity

Join us as an Autoglass Technician and become a key player in keeping people safe on the road. In this hands‑on role, you will repair, replace, and recalibrate vehicle glass using cutting‑edge tools and technology—delivering top‑quality workmanship every time.

You’ll also be the face of our service, working directly with customers to provide expert advice, offer value‑added products, and ensure every interaction is a great one. Your commitment to exceptional customer service will make a real difference.

• Location: Smith&Smith Albany
• Hours: 30 hours, rostered across Monday - Sunday

What we’re looking for

• Motivated people with a passion for hands‑on work, and a genuine interest in advancing technical skills with a keen eye for detail.
• No prior Autoglass repair and replacement experience is necessary as we provide comprehensive training.
• A passion for exceptional customer service.
• Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to upsell value‑added products and services.
• Physical capability to repetitively lift heavy items (up to 25kg) during a normal working day.
• A clean driver’s license (restricted or full class) is a minimum requirement.
• You must have unrestricted rights to work in New Zealand.
• The successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre‑employment drug and alcohol screening test.
