Job summary

Belron New Zealand (Smith&Smith, Laser and Exceed) seeks an Autoglass Technician for a fixed-term summer role in Queenstown. In this hands-on position you will repair, replace and recalibrate vehicle glass using the latest tools, delivering top-quality workmanship while helping customers.

We provide comprehensive training, a supportive team environment, and opportunities to grow within the Belron group, including pathways across New Zealand and around the world.

Qualifications

• Hands-on work with attention to detail.
• No prior Autoglass experience required; training provided.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Clear English communication and ability to upsell products/services.
• Able to lift up to 25 kg regularly.
• Clean driver’s license (restricted or full).
• Unrestricted rights to work in New Zealand.
• Pre-employment drug and alcohol screening may be required.

The Opportunity:

Join us as a fixed term Autoglass Technician this summer and become a key player in keeping people safe on the road. In this hands-on role, you will repair, replace, and recalibrate vehicle glass using cutting-edge tools and technology-delivering top-quality workmanship every time.

You'll also be the face of our service, working directly with customers to provide expert advice, offer value-added products, and ensure every interaction is a great one. Your commitment to exceptional customer service will make a real difference.

• Location: Smith&Smith Queenstown
• Hours: 30 hours, rostered across Monday - Sunday
• Fixed term: November 2026 - March 2027

What we’re looking for

• Motivated people with a passion for hands-on work , and a genuine interest in advancing technical skills with a keen eye for detail.
• No prior Autoglass repair and replacement experience is necessary as we provide comprehensive training.
• A passion for exceptional customer service.
• Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to upsell value-added products and services.
• Physical capability to repetitively lift heavy items (up to 25kg) during a normal working day.
• A clean driver's license (restricted or full class) is a minimum requirement.
• You must have unrestricted rights to work in New Zealand.
• The preferred candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening test.
