Job summary

Belron New Zealand, including Smith&Smith, Laser and Exceed, is seeking a fixed-term Autoglass Technician to repair, replace and recalibrate vehicle glass with precision.

You'll work hands-on with customers, deliver expert advice and upsell value-added products, with comprehensive training provided. The role emphasizes safety, service quality and a supportive team environment across a 30-hour roster, Oct 2026 to Apr 2027.

Qualifications

• Motivated for hands-on work with a passion for technical skill development.
• No prior Autoglass repair experience required; full training provided.
• Excellent communication skills in English and ability to upsell.
• Able to lift up to 25 kg and meet physical requirements.
• Clean driver’s license (restricted or full).
• Unrestricted rights to work in New Zealand.
• Pre-employment drug and alcohol screening required.

Location: Smith&Smith Westgate

Hours: 30 hours, rostered across Monday - Sunday

Fixed term: October 2026 - April 2027

What we’re looking for

Motivated people with a passion for hands-on work, and a genuine interest in advancing technical skills with a keen eye for detail.

No prior Autoglass repair and replacement experience is necessary as we provide comprehensive training.

A passion for exceptional customer service.

Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to upsell value-added products and services.

Physical capability to repetitively lift heavy items (up to 25kg) during a normal working day.

A clean driver's license (restricted or full class) is a minimum requirement.

You must have unrestricted rights to work in New Zealand.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening test.
