Job summary
The Department of Internal Affairs NZ in Wellington seeks a Technical Lead M365 to provide strategic direction and governance across the Microsoft 365 environment, including Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, and OneDrive. You will oversee security, compliance and reliability while aligning with organisational needs.
You will shape M365 strategy and roadmaps, guide platform improvements and integrations, mentor colleagues, and work with Digital teams to elevate technical standards.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience designing, operating and improving enterprise Microsoft 365 services.
- Strong expertise across Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, OneDrive and Entra ID.
- Experience with Intune, Purview, Defender, Power Platform and Microsoft Copilot.
- Sound knowledge of identity and access management, Zero Trust, cloud security and Azure integration.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership, governance and strategic direction across the Microsoft 365 environment.
- Oversee platforms including Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Purview, Power Platform and Microsoft Copilot.
- Lead technical governance of Copilot and Copilot Agents, shape M365 strategy and roadmaps, guide platform improvements and integrations.
- Mentor others to grow capability across the organisation.
