Job summary

Datacom is recruiting a Knowledge Specialist on a 6-month fixed-term contract to manage and maintain the knowledge base for a specific functional area. You will create, refine and deliver high-quality technical documentation to support internal teams and customers.

The role collaborates with Development Specialists and stakeholders to ensure accuracy, accessibility and alignment with contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in technical writing or knowledge management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology or related discipline.
• Knowledge of outsourced IT services and infrastructure project requirements.
• Specialist understanding of technical writing and knowledge management techniques and tools.
• Strong ability to identify and resolve problems with clear, user-friendly resources.
• Advanced writing skills to create clear knowledge repositories.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the internal knowledge base for a specific functional area.
• Write, edit and refine technical documentation including manuals and online help systems.
• Review contributions from Development Specialists to ensure unified documentation.
• Analyze program outlines and technical information to develop manuals and resources.
• Ensure contractual support and documentation requirements are met.
• Improve content templates and authoring style guides.
• Coordinate information architecture and taxonomy structures for discoverability.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks using knowledge management frameworks.
