Job summary

ASB Bank in Auckland is seeking a senior software engineer to drive automation and delivery across enterprise projects using Pega. You will design, implement, and mentor on scalable solutions that align with our strategic roadmap.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience building capabilities using Pega.
• Pega LSA certification, or equivalent experience as an LSA with CSSA.
• Experience with Pega Cloud or cloud architecture.
• Experience in regulatory/compliance projects.
• Extensive delivery lifecycle knowledge.
• Experience using tech stacks to solve business problems.
• Knowledge of Agile methods.
• Experience in large-scale enterprise deployment in an Agile way.
• Good understanding of integration.

The Customer Tribe works across ASB Bank to drive automation for various initiatives through specialist software. This tribe is a collaborative group of experts passionate about enabling automation and making life easier for ASBers and our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• We are looking for a mix of technical skills to support the following activities:
• Lead technical design and delivery across projects and squad
• Provide expert consultation on software architecture, integration, and tooling
• Build reusable, scalable, and secure solutions using modern engineering practices
• Promote clean code, automation, and performance optimisation
• Mentor engineers and uplift squad capabilities
• Research and recommend new technologies aligned to ASB's strategic roadmap

Required Skills and Experience

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in building capabilities using Pega.
• Pega LSA certification, or equivalent experience as an LSA in multiple Pega projects with at least Pega CSSA certification.
• Working experience in Pega Cloud or good understanding of cloud architecture.
• Working experience in regulatory/compliance projects.
• Extensive delivery lifecycle knowledge.
• Experience using knowledge of tech stacks to solve business problems.
• Confidence to apply and communicate industry best practices.
• Certified or experienced in Agile methods.
• Analysis, design, development, and application deployment of large-scale enterprise application systems in an Agile way of working.
• Good understanding of integration.
