Job summary

ASB Bank is seeking a Senior Digital Experience Analyst to shape and deliver customer-focused digital experiences across payments, transfers and everyday banking journeys. This senior role emphasizes leadership, stakeholder partnership and delivery excellence within the Move My Money squad.

You will work end to end from discovery through to delivery, mentor others, and help lift standards across digital delivery.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience delivering digital solutions end to end.
  • Strong background in requirements analysis, backlog shaping and agile ways of working.
  • Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and manage complex or competing priorities.
  • Experience applying human-centred design and data-led analysis to shape customer experiences.
  • Confidence working closely with engineers and designers in cross-functional squads.
  • Solid understanding of digital delivery, governance and release processes.
  • Experience mentoring or coaching others and contributing to chapter or practice capability.
  • Exposure to mobile app delivery is beneficial, but transferable digital experience is welcomed.

  • Act as a senior voice in the squad, mentoring DEAs and contributing to chapter standards and ways of working.

About the team | Mō te tīma

Move My Money (MMM) squads sits within ASB’s Digital & Engineering Practice and is responsible for delivering seamless, secure, and intuitive digital experiences that empower customers to move, access, and manage their money with confidence. The squad develops customer‑centric solutions across payments, transfers, account management, and everyday banking journeys, working closely with product, design, engineering, and risk teams to continuously enhance customer outcomes and digital experiences.

Operating in a fast‑paced and evolving environment, the squad balances the delivery of strategic initiatives with the continuous optimisation of existing customer experiences. The team is driven by a strong customer focus, a data‑informed approach to decision‑making, and a commitment to building quality into every stage of the delivery lifecycle.

About the role | Mō te tūranga

As a Senior Digital Experience Analyst, you will shape and deliver customer‑focused digital experiences across payments, transfers, and everyday banking journeys. This is a senior role within the squad, with a strong focus on leadership, stakeholder partnership and delivery excellence.

You will work end to end, from discovery through to delivery and optimisation, helping the squad break down complex problems into clear, delivery‑ready outcomes. You will also contribute beyond the squad, supporting chapter capability, mentoring others, and helping lift standards across digital delivery.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead complex customer and business analysis to shape digital solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Translate business and customer needs into clear, prioritised user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner closely with engineers, designers and product leaders to deliver high‑quality digital experiences.

You are an experienced digital analyst who is confident working in complex delivery environments. You bring strong analytical skills, sound judgement and the ability to influence across squads and stakeholder groups. You are comfortable leading conversations, holding your ground when needed, and building trusted relationships along the way.

You enjoy working in digital or customer‑facing digital spaces, and you care deeply about delivering experiences that work for customers and the business. You are also motivated to support others, share knowledge and help lift the overall craft.
