Job summary

Trimaxmowers in Tauranga seeks a Technical and Warranty Lead to own warranty, spare parts, and technical support for mowing equipment across APAC. As we continue to grow our aftersales capabilities, we're looking for a Technical and Warranty Lead to join the team, ensuring customers experience and support goes beyond just selling.

About the Role

Reporting to the New Zealand Business Development Manager, you will own the end to end warranty, spare parts and technical support function across our mowing equipment range in New Zealand, Australia and supporting regions in the Southern Hemisphere.

This is more than a workshop role. You will be the primary technical point of contact for dealers, customers and sales teams across APAC, manage claims through to resolution, and build in partnership the aftersales strategy that keeps our dealer network and customers supported.

Key Responsibilities
Warranty and Claims Management
  • Process ownership. Receive, assess, and manage warranty claims from dealers and customers across the APAC region, from first contact through to resolution, including approvals and parts or credit returns.
  • Compliance and data. Maintain accurate claims records to identify defect trends across markets, and ensure all data and records are recorded in the CRM system and required fields.
  • Compile technical data. Monitor issues and collaborate with the engineering department when required to find solutions and best use of technical bulletins.
Technical Support and Documentation

  • Advise on mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic systems across the Trimax mowing equipment range.
  • Resource development. Create and maintain technical documentation, service manuals, and troubleshooting guides for use across the APAC region.

  • Deliver product knowledge and technical training to dealers and internal teams, and feed field quality insights back to engineering and product teams.
Spare parts commercialization
  • Predictable revenue streams. Create predictable dealer demand through programs developed to drive OEM parts and other service business growth.
  • Attachment rate. Drive our spare parts attachment rate within the region through data driven assessment of the installed base and new equipment delivery.
  • On-time delivery. Ensure our customer experience and first time fulfilment rates are kept within industry leading levels through cross-functional collaboration and innovative delivery solutions.
Dealer and Regional Relationships

  • Manage day to day communication with market managers across APAC markets on warranty policy, claims status, and defect trends.

  • Build trusted relationships with customers and dealers throughout the region, and represent technical and warranty matters in dealer meetings and product briefings.
  • Regional travel. Travel across the APAC region as needed to support dealers, investigate field issues, and deliver training.
About You

You are technically minded, highly organised, and an excellent communicator, comfortable working across multiple markets and time zones. we're looking for:

  • Technical expertise. Hands on experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic systems in mowing, turf, or related heavy equipment.
  • Aftersales experience. Proven aftersales experience is essential, proven track record in warranty or technical support. Experience with mowing, agricultural, or industrial equipment is highly regarded.

  • Strong process management skills and the ability to navigate consumer law and warranty obligations across different APAC markets.
  • Equipment industry experience is highly regarded, but we welcome candidates from related technical backgrounds with a genuine interest in mowing and turf equipment.
