Job summary

LinkPeople is seeking a proactive Team Leader to inspire and guide a team delivering housing solutions for people experiencing homelessness in South Auckland. You will work with health and social service partners to create coordinated support, develop staff through coaching, and promote housing stability for clients.

The role requires a strong people leader with knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, a health professional background, and comfort working in NGO/community sectors.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional people leader and confident communicator
  • Knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and working with Māori
  • Proven ability and experience in inspiring and leading a team effectively
  • A Registered Health Professional: Social Worker, Nurse, Occupational Therapist, etc.
  • Understanding of the mental health system and sector within the Auckland region
  • Knowledge to support staff who work using Te Ao Māori frameworks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Understanding of wellness and recovery principles
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or experience in a similar role
  • Competency with Microsoft Office
  • Full driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team who work with people experiencing homelessness and housing needs to achieve housing stability
  • Work with partner organisations in health and social services for collaborative service delivery
  • Develop supportive peer relationships and partnership-based service delivery
  • Engage staff through coaching and development while maintaining a positive team culture
  • Build strong community relationships to support people to access housing options
  • Support staff to identify housing needs and sustain housing stability

  • Work in partnership with other agencies, including our partnerorganisations’in the health and social services space, to develop supportive peer relationships and collaborative service delivery.
  • Lead a team who work alongside people who have housing needs and require support to achieve housing stability.

  • Supports people to sustain their housing to prevent homelessness and remain well.

This is a full-time position working40 hoursper week, Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5.00pm. This role will be basedinManukau andinvolvesworking across South Auckland.
