Job summary

Anglican Family Care in Dunedin invites a capable Registered Social Worker with leadership experience to join as a permanent People Leader. You will support kaimahi, shape practice, and strengthen our team to deliver high-quality, strengths-based social services across Otago.

This role is based in Ōtepoti, offers 37.5 hours per week, with a salary range of NZ$95,250–NZ$122,464, and a commitment to culturally responsive leadership, Te Tiriti principles, and collaborative partnerships with whānau.

Qualifications

• Registered Social Worker with current NZ registration.
• Proven leadership experience in social services or related fields.
• Experience or qualification in clinical supervision and team development.
• Ability to work with whānau and communities in a culturally responsive way.

About the role

37.5 hours per week permanent position based in Ōtepoti

Salary range between $95,250 - $122,464 pa., commensurate with skills and experience

About you

Registered Social Worker

Proven leadership experience, ideally within the social services sector or a related field

Experience/qualification in clinical supervision

Proven ability to build and lead an effective team

An understanding and working knowledge of Care and Protection principles and the Oranga Tamariki Act 1989

A commitment to culturally responsive leadership, including advancing the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi within the organisation

Experience working with whānauwho need support with complex and often stressful situations

An excellent communicator who is able to build collaborative networks within the community

Sound computer and database skills
