Job summary

Pathways Health Ltd in central Auckland is seeking an inspirational TeamCoach - Peer to lead a new peer‑led mental health acute care service. You will guide a team of kaimahi with lived experience, applying recovery tools and a rights‑ and values‑based approach to care.

As Service and Relationship Manager provides support while you establish the service, you will foster innovation, provide regular coaching, and help every team member achieve their personal best.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of the peer workforce competencies and completion of recognised Peer Support training.
  • Completion of Level 4 certificate in Health and Wellbeing or equivalent.
  • Ability to speak to lived and living experience and journey to wellbeing.
  • Experience or qualification in health, management or related clinical discipline welcomed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a peer-led team, ensuring recovery tools and practices are embedded.
  • Stamp your mark as a founding leader of a new service and manage resources efficiently.
  • Provide regular coaching to all team members to help them exceed their personal best.

The Service
We are buildingan exciting, new peer-led community-based acute alternative to hospital within the centralAuckland Te Toka Tumai region. This is an opportunity for you to step into anexciting leadership role. The service will be staffed by lived and living experience kaimahiwho are trained to deliver inspiring peer services alongside other clinical kaimahi.

As a leader of the service you will support our kaimahi to use recovery tools,models, and practices to inspire resilience, hope, and wellbeing.The service willbe delivered in partnership with other mental health and addiction providersand will be informed by a rights and values-based approach to care. You’ll bereporting to a Service and Relationship Manager and working with the support ofyour extensive team.

We need an inspiring leader to join us as TeamCoach - Peer. This is an opportunity to stamp your mark as a founding leader ofa creative new service. Utilising the support and resources available, you willensure the efficient and effective use of resources for the team. You will fosterinnovation and continuous improvement of service, ensuring it is exemplary in empowering andinspiring people towards recovery and wellbeing. You will provideregular coaching and be focused on inspiring support to every member of your team,helping them to exceed their personal best in everything they do.

Thisis a full-time role, working Monday - Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm.

  • Increased employer KiwiSaver contributions
  • Fifth week of annual leave after 12 months of employment
  • 2 paid wellbeing days per year
  • $250 per year to support Health & Wellbeing

We are interested to hear from experienced peerleaders who can support and inspire a team and ensure their practice alwaysreflects peer values. As well as having great leadership and people skills, youwill have demonstrated ability to work well with other services such as TeWhatu Ora, PHOs and the wider community sector. You will thrive on thechallenge of helping set-up and establish a new team in an innovative newservice.

  • A working knowledge of the peer workforce competencies and have completed recognised Peer Support training
