About the Role

As a Team Administrator for Surgical and Perioperative Services, you will provide high-quality administrative, operational and coordination support across a diverse range of specialist services including Anaesthetics, Critical Care, General Surgery, Endoscopy, Urology, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, ENT and Audiology. Youll work closely with Service Managers, Clinical Leads and multidisciplinary teams to support the smooth day-to-day running of the directorate.This varied role includes coordinating meetings and governance processes, managing workforce and roster administration, supporting recruitment and onboarding activities, arranging travel and events, maintaining records and systems, entering outsourcing data and maintaining the outsourcing trackers, and assisting with financial and operational administration. About the Team/Service/Location

Our Surgical and Perioperative Services Directorate supports a wide range of hospital-based specialties that provide essential care to patients across Northland. As part of a collaborative and dedicated team, youll work alongside clinical and non-clinical staff who are committed to delivering excellent patient outcomes and continuously improving the services we provide.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced administrator who enjoys managing multiple priorities, building trusted working relationships, and providing high-quality support in a busy environment. Youll bring:

  • Previous experience in a Personal Assistant, secretarial or administrative role.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel
  • Experience with roster administration, workforce coordination or similar scheduling activities
  • Excellent organisational, time management and minute-taking skills, with strong attention to detail
  • A professional, adaptable and proactive approach, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively under pressure
