Job summary

Rai Valley Area School in the Rai Valley, Marlborough, is seeking an enthusiastic, collaborative Scale A teacher to lead and inspire our vibrant Year 7 and 8 students.

As an Area School, Year 7-8 learning bridges primary and secondary years, offering opportunities to foster confidence, critical thinking and independence as students transition into their senior years. A NZ registered teacher is preferred and flexible teaching across levels may be available.

Qualifications

• A New Zealand registered teacher who connects well with Year 7 and 8 Tamariki.
• Strong curriculum knowledge with focus on student engagement and agency.
• Experience with neurodiverse learners and structured literacy is a strong advantage.
• Positive team player who values partnerships with whānau and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire Year 7 and 8 learners.

Nestled in the beautiful Rai Valley-just a convenient one-hour drive from both Nelson and Blenheim- Rai Valley Area School is seeking an enthusiastic, collaborative Scale A teacher to lead and inspire our vibrant Year 7 and 8 students.

As an Area School, our Year 7 and 8 learning environment bridges the primary and secondary years, giving you the unique opportunity to help students build confidence, critical thinking, and independence as they transition into their senior school years.
