Qualifications

• Must hold NZ registered teacher status.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement engaging learning experiences for students in line with the new NZ curriculum and pedagogical approaches.
• Collaborate with colleagues in Learning Community 6 to plan and review learning outcomes.
• Contribute to a warm, collaborative school culture and student-centred wellbeing.
• Support whānau engagement and participate in professional learning and development opportunities.

We are a semi-rural school, not far from The Base in Hamilton. We are looking for an enthusiastic, NZ registered teacher to join our vibrant Year 7-8 team, at Te Kōwhai School. This is a permanent position that will commence from Term 1 2027. Possible leadership unit available depending on skills and strengths, as well as weekly release time.

You’ll be working alongside other passionate educators in a well-resourced, team-focused environment. Collaborating with other experienced teachers and staff in Learning Community 6, you will work together to design and implement effective learning experiences for our students in line with the new curriculum and pedagogical approaches.
