Job summary

Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Te Tai o Poutini West Coast is seeking compassionate Support Workers to help people stay active and well in their communities. You will work under a Registered Health Professional to deliver safe, respectful, and culturally appropriate support that promotes independence and dignity.

Your role focuses on assisting with daily activities, following care plans, and participating in ongoing training to improve access, experience and outcomes for clients, whānau,

Qualifications

• NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 2) or willingness to undertake this qualification.
• Full NZ driver's licence and competency with Microsoft applications.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.

• Support clients in a culturally safe and mana-enhancing way.

It would be an advantage if you have

• Previouscaregiving or support work experience in the community, hospital oraged-care environment


• Experiencesupporting people with complex or changing needs


• Anunderstanding of person-centred care and the importance of supportingpeople to maintain their independence
