Job summary

Healthvision NZ in New Zealand is seeking a compassionate support worker to assist people in the community with daily living tasks and health-related support.

You will work as part of a friendly team on rotating rosters, including mornings, evenings, and weekends, with travel between clients.

No formal qualifications? Training provided; Level 3/4 Health & Wellbeing qualifications are supported. A driver license is required and the workplace is inclusive.

Qualifications

  • Ideally prior personal care experience is preferred, but it is not essential.
  • Experience working with children may be in education, as a nanny, or in other environments.
  • Level 3 or Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification is beneficial.
  • Flexibility and reliability to work on a rotating roster.
  • Access to a reliable car and ability to drive independently; NZ driver's license required.
  • Legal right to work in New Zealand is a must.

Responsibilities may Include:

Employment Type: Part-Time

We offer a range of employment opportunities including casual, part-time, and full-time positions, which will be discussed further during the recruitment process.

Days of Work:

As this is community-based work, rotating rosters would be involved including AM, PM, and weekend work. Your preferred hours of work can be discussed during the recruitment process.

You are a friendly, social, and compassionate person who loves engaging with others and building meaningful connections. There are many responsibilities associated with being a support worker which can be challenging and fulfilling. It is rewarding when you are part of the support that enables a person to live their best lives in the community.

The candidate would have (Candidate Pre-Requisites):
  • Ideally prior personal care experience is preferred, but it is not essential
  • Experience working with children (this may be in education, as a nanny, or in other environments)
  • A Level 3 or Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification is beneficial and those looking to enter the healthcare sector will also be considered (comprehensive training can be provided)
  • Flexibility and reliability to work on a rotating roster
  • Access to a reliable car and ability to drive independently (a full New Zealand Driver's License is a must)
  • Legal right to work in New Zealand is a must

Pay Band: $25.22 - $31.40 per hour (This is based on the Pay Equity Settlement 2017 – hourly pay rates based on equivalency of Healthcare Qualifications assessed under Pay Equity).
