IDEA Services in Christchurch is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to empower individuals with intellectual disabilities at home and in the community.
You will foster independence, assist with daily living and personal care, and help clients pursue interests while promoting health and wellbeing. A compassionate, people-first approach and ability to work varied shifts, including sleepovers, are essential.
As a Support Worker, you will empower individuals with intellectual disabilities to lead fulfilling lives at home and within their community. This role is deeply meaningful, allowing you to be creative and make each day engaging and significant for those you support. Your responsibilities include:
Previous experience in the health/disability sector, supporting individuals with diverse needs
A high level of flexibility and availability to work across morning, evening, weekend, and sleepover shifts
