Job summary

IDEA Services supports adults with intellectual disabilities to live independently in their own homes and communities. You will assist clients with complex needs, manage risks, and provide safe, personalised care throughout the night.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving or personal care experience preferred.

Job description

• Permanent part time - includes weekends and sleepovers
• 38.5 hours with 1 sleepover per fortnight
• Availability to work alternate weekends is required

As a Support Worker you will be supporting clients with complex needs, managing risk, ensuring safety, and providing individual care throughout the night.Previous relevant experience is preferred, but more importantly, we are looking for someone with varied life experience and an open-minded attitude.

• Preferably previous experience in caregiving or providing personal care for adults.
• A calm nature and confidence to work with challenging behaviours.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and sleepover shifts.
• Comfortable and proficient in using computers and tablets daily.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical fitness to provide necessary physical support.
• Full NZ driver's license.
