Job summary

Nurse Maude in Christchurch is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide 24/7 one-on-one care for clients with complex needs in a home setting.

You will build trusted relationships, support wellbeing, and work with a small team to deliver person-centred care, with training provided.

Qualifications include Level 3/4 Health and Wellbeing or Level 2 with experience; applicants should be comfortable in a home environment and committed to ongoing development.

Qualifications

• Level 3 or Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification.
• Level 2 with relevant experience and/or working towards Level 3 will also be considered.
• Experience supporting clients with complex needs.
• Confidence working one-on-one with a client.
• Willingness to complete any additional training required (with support provided).

Job description

We are offering the opportunity for you to join a small, dedicated team of Support Workers providing 24/7 care across seven days a week for a client with complex needs. This role involves working one-on-one to deliver high-quality, person-centred support in a home environment.

To be successful in this role, you will have the following attributes:

• Level 3 or Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification
  (Level 2 with relevant experience and/or working towards Level 3 will also be considered)
• Strong understanding of the Support Worker role
• Experience supporting clients with spinal cord injury or similar complex needs
• Confidence working one-on-one with a client
• Willingness to complete any additional training required (with support provided)
• Ability to perform all aspects of the Support Worker role in line with best practice
