Job summary

Fletcher Building Group is seeking a seasoned supply chain leader for the Tauriko site to own inventory, despatch and customer fulfilment while guiding the next stage of operational excellence. You will build capability, drive continuous improvement and partner across functions to exceed customer expectations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead Inventory and Despatch teams to deliver on-time customer fulfilment.
• Drive inventory accuracy, stock integrity and continuous improvement.
• Own freight, despatch and customer delivery performance.
• Collaborate with Distribution Operations to resolve service or inventory issues.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Planning, Sales and Customer Service to meet demand.
• Identify opportunities and implement smarter ways of working.
• Champion a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset.

About the Role

Reporting to the Site Manager and leading a team of seven, you'll take ownership of inventory, despatch and customer fulfilment performance, while leading the next stage of operational excellence at our Tauriko site. You'll build capability, drive continuous improvement, challenge existing processes and play a pivotal role in delivering our vision of being #1 for customer experience.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading and developing high-performing Inventory and Despatch teams.
• Driving inventory accuracy, stock integrity and operational excellence.
• Owning freight, despatch and customer delivery performance.
• Working closely with the Distribution Operations team to identify and resolve issues affecting customer service or inventory
• Partnering with Manufacturing, Planning, Sales and Customer Service to meet demand and exceed customer expectations.
• Identifying improvement opportunities and implementing smarter ways of working.
• Championing a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset.

About You

We're looking for a seasoned supply chain leader with a proven track record of driving operational transformation, building capability and delivering measurable improvements across service, inventory, safety and performance. We’re looking for:

• Strong people leader with proven ability to improve team performance in both direct and cross-functional teams
• Proven leadership experience in supply chain, inventory, distribution or warehouse operations.
• Strong inventory management experience within a fast-moving manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing freight providers and transport performance.
• ERP expertise, advanced Excel skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to influence change and drive results.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
