Job summary

Laminex New Zealand, a leading manufacturer of decorative surfaces, seeks an experienced Planning & Procurement Manager for its Hamilton site. You will lead production, materials and supply planning to meet demand, manage raw material procurement and capacity planning, and drive S&OP processes to optimise performance.

In this role you will collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain and Logistics, improve planning accuracy and data integrity, and contribute to continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in production planning, materials planning, procurement, or supply chain in manufacturing.
• Forecasting, inventory, capacity planning and S&OP knowledge required.
• Advanced Excel and ERP/MRP experience; Power BI is advantageous.

• Manage raw material procurement, supplier relationships and month-end WIP processes.
• Coordinate capacity planning across Production, Warehouse and Logistics teams.
• Lead S&OP activities to align demand, supply and production capability.

• Improve planning accuracy, DIFOTIS, lead-time and inventory performance.
• Maintain ERP/MRP data integrity and drive continuous improvement at the site.

We're looking for an experienced Planning & Procurement Manager to join our Hamilton manufacturing site. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring the plant can meet customer demand through effective production planning, materials management, procurement, inventory control, and logistics coordination.

The Opportunity

You'll play a pivotal role in coordinating the plant's ability to meet market and sales demand by managing production capacity, raw material supply, inventory, S&OP processes, and logistics activities. Your focus will be on maintaining supply continuity, optimising inventory, stabilising production schedules, and delivering strong customer service outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

About You

You're an experienced planning and procurement professional who thrives in a manufacturing environment and enjoys balancing demand, supply, inventory, and stakeholder priorities.

To Be Successful In This Role, You'll Bring

• A tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years' experience in production planning, materials planning, procurement, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of forecasting, inventory management, capacity planning, and S&OP processes.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP or similar); Power BI experience is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, and Logistics.
• A proactive, continuous improvement mindset, with exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
• High attention to detail and a focus on planning accuracy, data integrity, and delivering results.
