Job summary

GIB® Plasterboard in Tauriko is seeking a seasoned Supply Chain Leader to own inventory, despatch and customer fulfilment performance while driving the next stage of operational excellence.

You will build capability, lead a seven-person team, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Planning, Sales and Customer Service to meet demand and exceed customer expectations. A strong background in ERP and data-driven decision making is essential.

Qualifications

• Seasoned supply chain leader with proven operational transformation experience.
• Strong people leadership across direct and cross-functional teams.
• Experience in supply chain, inventory, distribution or warehouse operations.
• Experience managing freight providers and transport performance.
• ERP expertise, advanced Excel skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Leading and developing Inventory and Despatch teams.
• Driving inventory accuracy, stock integrity and operational excellence.
• Owning freight, despatch and customer delivery performance.
• Working closely with the Distribution Operations team to identify and resolve issues affecting customer service or inventory.
• Partnering with Manufacturing, Planning, Sales and Customer Service to meet demand and exceed customer expectations.
• Identifying improvement opportunities and implementing smarter ways of working.
• Championing a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset.

About The Role

Reporting to the Site Manager and leading a team of seven, you'll take ownership of inventory, despatch and customer fulfilment performance, while leading the next stage of operational excellence at our Tauriko site. You'll build capability, drive continuous improvement, challenge existing processes and play a pivotal role in delivering our vision of being #1 for customer experience.
