OceanaGold Corporation in Waihi seeks a Supervisor—Construction to oversee site services, landscaping, and property maintenance, coordinating contractors and ensuring safe, compliant operations.

You will develop and manage contracts, lead safety meetings, and supervise maintenance tasks while maintaining relationships with contractors to maximise efficiency and value for the company.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in project management or contractor management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate maintenance and landscaping for site properties and projects.
• Manage external contractors and develop service/supply contracts as required.
• Conduct pre-shift safety meetings and ensure compliance with procedures and consent conditions.
• Coordinate waste management, fire system services, and building compliance inspections.
• Develop and update SOPs and maintain relationships with contractors to maximize efficiency.

Job Description

To Supervise, plan, coordinate and complete various operational, landscaping and property maintenance tasks alongside the Supervisor—Construction in asafe manner while ensuring compliance with relevant procedures, polices, legal requirements and consentconditions.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Site Services

• Liaising with OGNZ Property Manager and Contractors asrequired.
• Provide aleadership role to direct reports and external contractors.
• Run pre-shift safety meetings with teams asrequired.
• Assist with developing service and supply contracts asrequired.
• Supervise and co-ordinating landscaping and gardening services contractors (tree felling and general maintenance).
• Assisting Site Services team to manage external contractors and manage priorities on adaily basis.
• Co- ordinating waste management and disposalservices.
• Co- ordinating fire system services contractors and ensure inspections are completed as required (Monthly/Quarterly/Annually).
• Co- ordinating and undertaking building compliance inspections. Ensuring company building compliance ismaintained.
• Providing project management &maintenance of company properties asdirected.
• To Develop and update relevant SOP’s and other specific documentation.
• ToMaintain relationships with contractors to ensure that the requirements of OceanaGold areachieved.
• To Minimise costs and maximise benefits to the Company by contractors working on company assets whenrequired.
• Monitoring departments INX tasks/actions and ensure tasks/actions are prioritised and actioned accordingly.
• Communication with lessee’s.

Landscaping and Maintenance

Supervising and coordinating maintenance and landscaping of residential properties, site and project workareas:

• Mowing/spraying/weed-eating/pest control – OceanaGold commercial, residential and domesticproperties.
• Mowing/spraying/path maintenance—parks (Slevin Park, Black Hill, parts PitRim).
• Contractor supervision.
• Tree felling, pruning/small treeremoval.
• New property overhaul (scrub-bar, rubbish,etc).
• Maintenance of walkways managed by thecompany.
• Fertilising andMulching.
• Attend pre-shift safety and tool-box safetymeetings.
• Report all incidents and near misses and workplacehazards.
• Ensure relevant fixed and mobile equipment is maintained, ensuring effective and efficient equipment operation in asafe and environmentally responsible manner.
• Build and maintain effective relationships in order to retain ahigh-performance workforce through engagement, communication andmotivation.
• Ensure appropriate professional development or training plans are in place to meet safety and process requirements and to harness the skills, competencies and potential that exists within theteam.

Qualifications

• Full and Current Driver Licence, ability to drive manual vehicles ispreferred.

Experience:

• Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel andOutlook.
• Experience with integrated purchasing/inventory systems, preferably PRONTO orsimilar.
• Practical use of various items of mobile plant, equipment and handtools.
• At least 5 years’ experience in project management or contractor management role required, preferably in amining, engineering or construction environment.
• Safety Conscious and Positive WorkAttitude.
