Placements24 is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee buying in Queenstown with hybrid work flexibility. You will develop strategies, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost savings across categories while leading a high-performance team.

The role requires a strong understanding of procurement, supply chain management, and contract negotiation, with a focus on delivering consistent supply of quality goods and services in a dynamic market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in SCM, Business Admin, Commerce or related field.
• 5–7 years in procurement and supply chain, 2+ years in management.
• Proven sourcing strategy and cost savings track record.
• Expert in contract negotiation, terms, and risk management.
• Strong data interpretation and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder skills.
• Experience with SAP/Oracle or similar ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals.
• Lead and mentor the procurement team for high performance.
• Oversee end-to-end procurement lifecycle: sourcing, negotiation, contracts, supplier performance.
• Conduct market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Negotiate contracts to ensure price, quality and delivery terms.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
• Oversee purchase orders and supplier agreements.
