Job summary

Alliance Group Limited is seeking a Senior Financial Controller for our Pukeuri Processing Plant in Otago, New Zealand. This senior leadership role provides strategic financial leadership, partnering with site operations to drive profitability and informed decision-making.

You will report to the Plant Manager and collaborate with Group Finance to shape the site’s future success. You will lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and controls, ensuring audit readiness and strong financial

Qualifications

• Accounting qualification or diploma (CA, CPA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
• Proven experience in financial control, management accounting or finance leadership roles
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and management reporting capability
• Experience supporting operational or manufacturing-based businesses
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Experience leading teams and developing capability in others
• Proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset

Responsibilities

• Lead site budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes
• Provide insightful financial analysis and performance reporting
• Manage site profit and loss, balance sheet and working capital performance
• Maintain strong financial controls, compliance and audit readiness
• Support capital investment decisions and business improvement initiatives
• Partner with operational leaders to identify opportunities and manage risks
• Drive continuous improvement across finance systems, processes and reporting
