Job summary

Alliance Group is seeking a proven engineering leader to head a large Plant Services team at our Otago site. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will provide strategic and operational oversight of engineering, maintenance, environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives to improve asset performance and plant reliability.

You will drive capital projects, budgeting, continuous improvement, and a strong safety culture while leading a high-performing team with a hands-on approach.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' engineering experience within manufacturing, ideally food processing or a similarly regulated industry.
• Experience leading engineering or maintenance teams.
• Strong knowledge of asset management, reliability engineering and maintenance planning.
• Experience managing environmental programmes and compliance requirements.
• Working knowledge of CMMS systems and maintenance management processes.

• Leading and developing a high-performing engineering and maintenance team.
• Driving asset reliability, plant availability, and maintenance best practice.
• Managing environmental programmes and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Providing technical leadership and complex problem-solving support across site operations.
• Developing and managing R&M budgets, operating costs, and capital projects.
• Supporting business planning, asset management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Building a strong culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
