Job summary

OfficeMax New Zealand is seeking a Specialist Sales – Packaging solutions. You will work on-site with customers, learning their operations, spotting opportunities, and recommending packaging solutions that improve their packing, moving, and protection processes.

You'll build trusted advisor relationships across customer operations, influence decisions, and uncover new opportunities to win business. Reporting to the National Sales Manager for Packaging & Safety, territory spans from West Auckland

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years business development management or specialist sales experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of packaging products and fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Proven track record of identifying opportunities and winning new business.
• Excellent customer engagement, negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Packaging category sales and margin growth targets.
• Collaborate with the sales team to identify and grow opportunities.
• Build and maintain a sales pipeline and convert opportunities.
• Represent OfficeMax in the field as a packaging expert, providing knowledge and solutions on-site.
• Coordinate responses to tenders and RFPs within packaging.
• Act as a technical subject matter expert on packaging products including sustainability.
• Source packaging products with OfficeMax buyers and suppliers.
• Maintain up-to-date pipeline and customer activity in Salesforce CRM.
