Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Account Executive to own the Energy and Local Council portfolio in New Zealand, driving cloud adoption and AI transformation across critical sectors that shape how New Zealand lives and works. You will build deep relationships with energy providers and councils to support their vision to grow, modernise and better serve communities.

Qualifications

• Experience in technology-related sales, business development, or sales engineering/consulting.
• Experience implementing cloud services including migrations and modernization projects or similar.
• Experience working within or supporting the New Zealand Public Sector.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute account strategies aligning AWS solutions with customer transformation goals across energy and local council portfolios, driving revenue growth and targets.
• Build enduring relationships with executives, digital and IT leaders across energy and local government sectors.
• Support customers' modernization to the cloud, and position AWS services including AI and digital products to help them grow and serve communities.
• Collaborate with Solutions Architects, Partners, and AWS service teams to design solutions, run pilots, and articulate value in community outcomes and cost optimisation.
• Develop territory plans and accurate forecasts, track pipeline and revenue, and identify opportunities in NZ energy and local government landscape.
• Navigate NZ public sector procurement and represent AWS at industry events and forums.
