Placements24 is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for a major FMCG manufacturing facility in Queenstown. The role oversees all production activities, aiming for high efficiency, quality, and cost control within a fast-paced consumer goods environment.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in manufacturing operations, strong leadership, and expertise in lean/Six Sigma, quality systems, and supply chain integration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in manufacturing operations management, with FMCG experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial) required; Master's preferred.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations to meet production targets within budget.
• Develop strategies to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance quality.
• Mentor production team and foster safety and continuous improvement.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with supply chain and logistics to ensure materials and distribution.
• Manage operating budget including labor, materials, overhead.
• Lead lean initiatives and oversee equipment maintenance.
• Drive process optimization and manufacturing technology advancements.
