Hamilton City Council is seeking a Financial Insights Analyst to join the Finance and Enabling Services group. You will deliver clear, accurate financial and performance reporting, preparing reports, dashboards, and analyses that explain organisational performance for decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, data analytics or equivalent.
• Chartered Accountant registration, progress towards CA, or international equivalent.
• Experience in financial analysis, performance reporting, decision support or related discipline in large/complex org.
• Experience developing reports, dashboards and insights using Power BI and Excel.
• Ability to analyse financial and non-financial information and identify key drivers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare regular financial and performance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare and analyse financial and non-financial data.
• Identify trends, variances and drivers of organisational performance.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools using Power BI and Excel.
• Automate and improve reporting processes.
