Job summary

Hamilton City Council is seeking a Research and Insights Advisor to join the Communications and Engagement team in Hamilton. You will manage consultation and engagement for Council, analyze data, and provide insights to support strategic decisions.

You'll promote use of research to understand our customers and communities, develop research approaches for community surveys, and deliver insights reports for stakeholders. The role offers flexible working and development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Degree or similar qualification in a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a research and insights role or similar.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders (both internal and external).
  • Strong project management skills including ability to drive multiple end-to-end projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of local government environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Contributing to community engagement research using a range of tools and platforms.

  • Ensuringinteractive dashboards (demographic and survey results) are updated as required to provide insights to the organisation.
  • Ensuringthe insights from metrics collected in community wellbeing surveys are shared on Council's platforms.
  • Contributingto special projects as required.

Job Description

We are seeking a Research and Insights Advisor to join our team in Hamilton. In this role, you'll work with the Senior Research and Insights Advisor and the Research and Insights Coordinator to manage consultation and engagement for Council.

You'll work closely with the Communication and Engagement Unit and teams across the businessto conduct research, analyse data, and provide valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.

Some of the key responsibilities for this role include:

Circa$85K - 90K dependent on skills and experience.
