Job summary

Aka Rooftop in Auckland seeks a Sales and Event Manager to grow profitable bookings by finding customers, building relationships and converting enquiries into confirmed corporate functions, private celebrations and venue events.

You will own the sales process from first contact through to booking and handover to events and operations teams, collaborating with Marketing to improve lead quality and drive revenue.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales experience, ideally 5 years, in venue/hospitality or events.
• Experience winning and converting business with measurable results.
• Ability to prospect, meet clients, conduct venue tours, propose and negotiate.
• Accurate CRM use and pipeline forecasting.
• Clear communication and coordination with marketing, accounts, food & beverage, and event delivery teams.
• Right to work in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Win new business with corporate clients, event planners and partners.
• Qualify enquiries, lead tours, prepare proposals, negotiate and close bookings.
• Maintain CRM, manage pipeline and forecast bookings.
• Handover to events and operations with confirmed requirements and pricing.
• Collaborate with Marketing to improve lead quality and timing of follow-ups.
• Ensure health and safety and host responsibility during tours and events.
