Job summary

New Zealand Venue Co. in Auckland is seeking a Business Development Manager to bring new functions, events and group dining business into our Auckland venues.

You’ll get out into the market, build relationships, win new clients and match each booking with the right space across our portfolio. You’ll drive a strong sales pipeline, grow existing accounts and collaborate closely with our venue teams to optimise opportunities across the portfolio across multiple venues.

Qualifications

• At least three years’ experience in sales, business development, hospitality or event planning.
• Track record of winning business and achieving sales or revenue targets.
• Strong understanding of the functions, events and wedding markets.
• Confident in pitching, presenting and negotiating with clients.
• Organise and manage multiple leads and keep your pipeline moving.
• Experience working with hospitality venues would be a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Win new business from corporate clients, event organisers, wedding clients, PCOs and industry partners.
• Manage opportunities from first conversation through proposal, booking and handover to the venue team.
• Build a strong sales pipeline and deliver against revenue targets.
• Grow existing accounts and keep clients coming back for their next event.
• Work closely with Auckland venue teams to find the best fit for each client and maximise opportunities across the portfolio.
