Job summary

Aka Rooftop in Auckland CBD is hiring a Front of House Manager to lead the FOH team and ensure exceptional guest experiences across dining and rooftop events.

You'll oversee service flow, manage rosters and labour costs, and collaborate with kitchen, bar, events, and marketing to drive revenue and uphold premium standards. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Proven FOH management experience in premium dining.
• Experience with rostering, labour cost control, and KPI-driven service.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Tanda or similar scheduling tools.
• NZ Manager's Certificate preferred.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced and hands-on Front of House Manager who is passionate about creating memorable guest experiences.

You'll lead the FOH team and oversee daily service, ensuring every shift runs smoothly - from busy dining periods and rooftop events to high-profile functions.

What You'll Bring

• Proven experience as a Front of House Manager, Restaurant Manager, or senior hospitality leader
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and develop a team
• Experience in premium dining, busy bars, hotels, or event venues
• Confidence using Tanda or a similar workforce management system
• Strong organisational skills and commercial awareness
• Excellent communication and guest engagement skills
• A valid New Zealand Manager's Certificate is highly preferred
• A calm, polished, and solutions-focused approach under pressure
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and during key events
