Job summary

Sunway Food Limited, a Whangarei-based café and restaurant operator, is seeking a full-time Store Manager for Nan Hot Pot Whangarei at 81 Walton St. The role leads store performance, customer service, budgeting, and staff management with a 30-hour minimum week and hourly pay of $30–$35.

You will oversee stock, supplier relationships, health & safety, and compliance, and ensure quality standards while driving profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of relevant working experience in the same field/industry.
• At least a Diploma level 5 or an equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Setting sales targets and determining product range, price, stock levels and standard operating procedures.
• Formulating and implementing budgeting, promotional or marketing strategies.
• Assisting with GST, PAYE related paperwork for accounting purpose and managing other daily business concerned financial transactions.
• Overseeing customer service and handling customer complaint.
• Quality control of products served, ensure standards are met.
• Maintaining record of stock level and making stock purchase decisions.
• Establishing and maintaining relationship with all suppliers.
• Conducting regular check on shop’s equipment and arranging fixing/maintenance if necessary.
• Overseeing staff performance and conducting performance reviews.
• Recruiting and training new staff members.
• Setting and implementing heath & safety protocols and ensuring compliance with relevant safety and sanitary regulations.
• Handling council inspections.

Sunway Food Limited is a well-established company headquartered in Whangarei operating café and beverage shops, hot pot restaurants across Whangarei, Hamilton and Christchurch. We are looking for a full-time permanent Store Manager to lead all aspects of our Nan Hot Pot Whangarei at 81 Walton St Whangarei 0112.

We offer at least 30 hours per week (Monday to Sunday on rostered hours) and our hourly pay is from $30.00 to $35.00 depending on your qualification or experience. You will be responsible for the store performance and maximize profits.

Ideal candidates must have
