Job summary

CoverMe Ashburton LTD, Ashburton, Canterbury, New Zealand, is seeking a Store Manager to run the day-to-day operations of our busy phone repair and retail store. You will lead a small team, oversee repairs, stock, sales, and customer service to ensure smooth store performance.

The role requires hands-on leadership, inventory control, rostering, cash handling and a focus on safety and visual presentation. Permanent, full-time with 30-40 hours per week and a pay rate of NZD 32–35 per hour.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in relevant retail or equivalent qualification.
• Knowledge of retail sales, inventory control, stock ordering and cash handling.
• Experience with mobile phones, tablets or electronics repairs is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the phone repair and retail store.

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
Hours of Work: 30-40 hours per week

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focusedStore Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our busy CoverMe Phone Repair store in Ashburton. This role offers the opportunity to manage a dynamic team in a fast-paced mobile phone repair, electronics and retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the phone repair and retail store.


• Lead, train, supervise and roster staff to ensure efficient store operations and customer service.


• Manage mobile phone, tablet and electronic device repair enquiries and ensure repairs are handled efficiently.


• Manage stock levels and place supplier orders to ensure phones, accessories, spare parts and other products are available.


• Respond to customer enquiries and resolve complaints professionally to maintain customer satisfaction.


• Monitor retail sales and repair performance and implement strategies to achieve business targets.


• Promote mobile phones, accessories, screen protectors, repair services and other products.


• Manage cash handling, point-of-sale transactions and daily financial procedures.


• Maintain accurate records of repairs, sales, stock and customer transactions.


• Ensure full compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and company policies.


• Maintain store cleanliness, organisation and professional visual presentation.


• Prepare and present sales, repair and performance reports to company management.


• Build strong relationships with customers and encourage repeat business.


• Identify opportunities to improve store operations, customer service and sales performance.
