Job summary

CoverMe Phone Repair in Ashburton, Canterbury, New Zealand is seeking an Electronics Repair Technician for a full-time, permanent role. You will diagnose, repair and maintain mobile phones, tablets, laptops, and other devices while delivering excellent customer service.

The role involves parts stock management, assisting customers, and promoting accessories. Hours start at 30+ per week with pay ranging from $26.00–$32.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Level 4 or higher qualification in electronics, telecommunications, information technology, computer technology, or related field.
• Minimum 6 months of relevant work experience in electronics repair or related roles.
• Experience repairing Apple and Android devices; strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair Apple, Android, Gaming Console, and other electronic devices.
• Repair mobile phones, tablets, laptops, and computers.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software faults.
• Conduct screen, battery, charging port, camera, speaker, and other component replacements.
• Perform software installation, updates, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults and test repaired devices.
