Qualifications

• Proven senior retail management experience in a large-format, high-volume environment.
• Strong commercial understanding with track record of achieving financial and operational targets.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop large diverse teams.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of New Zealand retail environment and employment practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a large multi-department retail leadership team.
• Drive commercial performance, profitability, and operational growth strategies.
• Manage daily store operations across customer service, merchandising, inventory, and compliance.
• Develop and maintain a strong culture of safety, excellence, and team engagement.
• Monitor financial performance, budgets, forecasting, and cost control.
• Improve operational efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure stock management, inventory control, and merchandising standards.
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and community partners.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and business improvement.
• Support team capability development through coaching and leadership.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and company policies.
