Job summary

Riviera Hardware Holdings Ltd is seeking a Retail Leader for customer service and store operations at Mitre 10 Whangaparaoa. The role spans coaching the team, supporting the Store Manager, and ensuring merchandising, stock and store readiness across the whole store.

You’ll manage customer inquiries, prioritise tasks, and help create a positive, high-performance store environment while upholding health and safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience leading or supervising a team in retail or similar environment.
• A positive and approachable leadership style.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing priorities.
• Customer-first mindset with a passion for delivering great service.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the day-to-day leadership of the store team
• Coaching and developing team members to deliver great customer experiences
• Working with the Store Manager and wider leadership team to drive store performance
• Ensuring high standards of merchandising, presentation and store readiness
• Assisting with stock management, promotional execution and operational activities
• Managing customer inquiries, issues and escalations professionally
• Allocating resources and supporting workflow during busy trading periods
• Maintaining compliance with policies and health and safety requirements
• Leading by example and contributing to a positive team culture
