Superior Personnel Ltd in New Zealand is seeking a Class 5 Heavy Transport Driver who thrives on precision driving and steel industry work. The role combines driving safety with on-site labour, loading and unloading steel components and working closely with yard and crane teams.

You must hold a NZ Class 5 license, have 3–5 years of heavy vehicle experience, be physically fit, and reside in New Zealand. This is a full-time, contract/temporary position with urgent start.

Qualificações

Responsabilidades

• Operate Class 5 heavy combination vehicles – steel work.
• Secure heavy steel loads using chains and NZTA-compliant restraints.
• Labour duties: assist manufacturing team; load and unload; be on your feet for portions of the shift when not driving.
• Coordinate with yard personnel and crane teams for seamless loading/unloading.
• Complete pre-start checks, maintain logbooks, and uphold site health and safety protocols.

What You Will Do:

• Precision Driving: Operate Class 5 heavy combination vehicles - steel work
• Load Security: Take full responsibility for securing heavy steel loads using chains and NZTA-compliant restraints.
• Labour work : Help with manufacturing team , in the year , load and unload , therefore you will be on your feet some times all of the shift , if there is no driving.
• Site Coordination: Collaborate with yard personnel and crane teams for seamless loading and unloading.
• Compliance & Safety: Complete pre-start checks, maintain accurate logbooks, and champion site health and safety protocols

What You Bring:

• Licensing: A current, clean NZ Class 5 Driver's License.
• Experience: 3 to 5 years of heavy vehicle experience, ideally within steel, construction, or engineering.
• Technical Skill: Confident reversing in tight spaces.

• *Physical Fitness: Capability to handle the physical demands of chaining down massive steel structures.
• *Reliability: A punctual, proactive attitude with a professional on-site presence, consistency with hours needed

Important Application Criteria:

• Visa Status: You must currently hold NZ Residency/Citizenship or have at least 2+ years remaining on a valid NZ work visa.
