Job summary

6am Recruitment is seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder for a busy fabrication team in New Zealand. The ideal candidate brings TIG welding expertise and a strong background in stainless steel and sheet metal fabrication, with experience reading drawings and working from scratch.

You will join a stable, supportive team that values quality, reliability, and a can-do attitude, and you must be able to work unsupervised in a clean, efficient environment.

Qualifications

• Sufficient time in stainless steel fabrication & TIG welding.
• Reading drawings and building products from scratch, including bending/folding.
• Ability to work unsupervised with a clear, reliable work ethic.
• Can-do attitude and reliability; able to communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and weld stainless steel and sheet metal components to drawings.
• Work from drawings, perform bending/folding, and ensure material deductions are correct.
• Maintain quality, safety, and cleanliness in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

• Sufficient time in stainless steel fabrication & TIG welding
• Working from drawings, able to build products from scratch, including bending and folding material (understand material deductions, cut sizes etc.)
