Job summary

Tradestaff is seeking skilled Welder/Fabricators to join our team. You will work across MIG, TIG and ARC welding and both light and heavy fabrication on a variety of materials. Auckland will be the primary area, with occasional work in Wellington, Bay of Plenty, Waikato and Hawke’s Bay.

You’ll read blueprints, produce high-quality welds, and ensure safety and standards across diverse projects. Applicants must have 3+ years experience or NZQF Level 4, own tools, reliable transport, and be able to

Welder/Fabricators Wanted

Are you a skilled Welder/Fabricator with experience across multiple welding techniques and fabrication types?

We're on the lookout for adaptable, hands-on professionals who can hit the ground running and take pride in producing quality work on a variety of materials and projects.

Auckland will be the predominate area of work for this role; however, you may also be required to work in the Wellington, Bay of Plenty, Waikato and Hawkes Bay regions. This will be discussed further with the successful applicant.

About the Role

We're seeking experienced Welder/Fabricators to join our team and contribute to a wide range of fabrication and welding projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone confident working with MIG, TIG, and ARC welding, as well as both light and heavy fabrication.

You'll be working with materials such as stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminium, and contributing to a variety of structural and non-structural projects.

In this role you will:

• Carry out welding and fabrication across diverse projects
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately
• Perform high-quality welds using MIG, TIG, and ARC techniques
• Shape, bend, and assemble components for both light and heavy fabrication work
• Join components through welding, bolting, or riveting

Skills and Experience

• A minimum of 3 years' relevant work experience, or
• A relevant NZQF Level 4 qualification (or an overseas qualification recognised by NZQA as comparable).
• Proficient across a variety of welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and ARC
• Experience with light and heavy fabrication
• Familiarity with stainless steel is an advantage
• Own tools and reliable transport
• Two work references
• Commitment to Health & Safety standards
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
