Job summary

Tradestaff is seeking an experienced Welder Fabricator in Tokoroa to join a skilled team. Immediate start with strong MIG and TIG capabilities, including stainless steel fabrication. Read engineering drawings, measure and assemble components, and ensure high-quality finishing.

Role offers ongoing opportunities, a robust workshop environment, and support from the Tradestaff Rotorua team. A valid NZ driver’s license and reliable transport are preferred.

• Strong stainless steel fabrication skills.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.

• Fabricate stainless steel components and assemblies.

• Measure, cut, prepare and assemble materials accurately.
• Complete welding, grinding and finishing to a high standard.
• Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop.

Welder Fabricator

Tradestaff is looking for an experienced Welder Fabricator in Tokoroa with strong MIG, TIG and stainless steel fabrication skills. If you can read engineering drawings, produce quality welds and take pride in your workmanship, we want to hear from you!

Location: Tokoroa, Waikato

Start date: Immediate

Pay rate: $32–$38 per hour + weekly pay

What You'll Be Doing

• Carry out MIG and TIG welding on a range of metal components
• Fabricate stainless steel components and assemblies
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Measure, cut, prepare and assemble materials accurately
• Complete welding, grinding and finishing to a high standard
• Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop

What We're Looking For

• Proven MIG and TIG welding experience
• Strong stainless steel fabrication skills
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
• Confidence using fabrication tools and workshop equipment
• Excellent attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Full NZ Driver Licence and reliable transport
• Relevant welding qualifications advantageous
