Job summary

Davin Industries Limited in Christchurch, NZ is seeking skilled welders to join our precision sheetmetal team. This role focuses on MIG and TIG welding across steel, stainless, and aluminum, reading blueprints, and upholding strict safety and quality standards.

You'll work with a committed crew, contribute to prototypes through to volume production, and bring reliable workmanship to every bead. Trade qualification preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminium to required codes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on a range of materials (steel, stainless steel, aluminum) to achieve code standards for weld testing.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
• Ensure all welds meet quality and safety standards
• Collaborate with team members, other departments and projects
• Maintain a clean and organised work area
• Strict adherence to our critical safety rules and contributing to a safe working environment

ABOUT YOU

• Safe operating focus with knowledge of welding safety procedures and standards
• Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding across all above materials.
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
• Relevant trade qualification (preferred but not essential)
• Great team player
