Job summary

Tradestaff is seeking experienced Welder/Fabricators to join our team for a variety of projects across Hawke's Bay, Auckland, Bay of Plenty, Waikato and Wellington regions.

You will weld with MIG, TIG, and ARC, read blueprints, work with stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminium, and contribute to both light and heavy fabrication while upholding safety standards.

This role offers a supportive environment, competitive pay, and consistent hours, with travel to multiple sites as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' relevant work experience or NZQF Level 4 qualification.
• Proficient across MIG, TIG and ARC welding techniques.
• Experience with light and heavy fabrication.
• Familiarity with stainless steel is an advantage.
• Own tools and reliable transport.
• Two work references.
• Commitment to Health & Safety standards.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Welder/Fabricators Wanted

Are you a skilled Welder/Fabricator with experience across multiple welding techniques and fabrication types?

We’re on the lookout for adaptable, hands‑on professionals who can hit the ground running and take pride in producing quality work on a variety of materials and projects.

Hawkes Bay will be the predominate area of work for this role; however, you may also be required to work in the Auckland, Bay of Plenty, Waikato and Wellington regions. This will be discussed further with the successful applicant.

About the Role

We’re seeking experienced Welder/Fabricators to join our team and contribute to a wide range of fabrication and welding projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone confident working with MIG, TIG, and ARC welding, as well as both light and heavy fabrication.

You’ll be working with materials such as stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminium, and contributing to a variety of structural and non-structural projects.

In this role you will:

• Carry out welding and fabrication across diverse projects

• Perform high-quality welds using MIG, TIG, and ARC techniques

Skills and Experience

• A minimum of 3 years' relevant work experience, or
• A relevant NZQF Level 4 qualification (or an overseas qualification recognised by NZQA as comparable).
• Proficient across a variety of welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and ARC
• Experience with light and heavy fabrication
• Familiarity with stainless steel is an advantage
• Own tools and reliable transport
• Two work references
• Commitment to Health & Safety standards
