Job summary

Specialist SEND Group in Warrington is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to provide bespoke 1:1 support for a secondary-aged pupil with an EHCP who is educated through Education Other Than In School (EOTIS). The role focuses on ASC and sensory learning needs, requiring patience, adaptability and a calm, relationship-led approach.

You will work in person in Warrington, following safeguarding procedures, recording observations and collaborating with tutors, parents and other professionals

Qualifications

• Proven experience supporting secondary-aged pupils with ASC and sensory needs.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Enhanced DBS check and safeguarding awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent 1:1 support to a secondary-aged pupil.
• Support access to learning activities and EHCP outcomes.
• Use autism-informed and sensory-informed approaches.
• Adapt activities to pace and engagement.
• Record observations and progress as required.
• Collaborate with tutor/teacher, parents/carers and other professionals.
