Job summary

Greerton Village School – Te Kura o Maarawaewae in the Bay of Plenty region seeks an experienced Specialist Teacher to support students with High and Very High ORS funding within a mainstream setting.

You will work with classroom staff to design personalised programmes, provide expert guidance, and promote inclusive practice to ensure learning pathways are meaningful and strengths-based across tamariki.

Qualifications

• Qualified Certificated teacher with current NZ registration.
• Experience supporting students with ORS-funded programmes.
• Ability to design needs-based learning pathways.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement personalised programmes using the expanded curriculum.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and teacher assistants to support learners.
• Provide expert guidance and build capability across the team.
• Champion inclusive practice and engage with whānau and external agencies.
• Utilise AAC and visual supports to aid learning.
