• 6+ years kitchen experience or relevant qualification.
• Demonstrated experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience in stock control, food costing and production planning.
• Ability to lead high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of kitchen operations, service delivery and quality management.
• Can-do attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Passion for providing fantastic service and interest in hospitality industry.

Job description

We are looking for a enthusiastic Sous Chef to assist with the day-to-day operations of our kitchens. This role reports directly to the Executive Chef and requires exceptional communication skills, culinary creativity, and the ability to inspire and maintain a positive, collaborative team culture. We are seeking a dedicated professional with a true passion for food and an unwavering commitment to producing and presenting dishes of the highest quality.

The perfect candidate willbring:

• 6 + years of kitchen experience or relevant qualification,
• demonstrated experience in a commercial kitchen environment,
• previous leadership or supervisory experience within hospitality or food production operations,
• experience in stock control, food costing and production planning,
• ability to lead high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment,
• strong understanding of kitchen operations, service delivery and quality management,
• a “can do” attitude and excellent communication skills,
• a passion for providing fantastic service and a genuine interest to work in the hospitality industry,
• enjoy working with a fun, diverse team,
• able to produce a quality product and maintain a high level of food safety and hygiene.

This role offers:

• $35 - $38 gross per hour with 30 - 50 hours week guaranteed
