Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Social Impact Officer to join our client’s team in Welkom. The role focuses on developing, implementing, and evaluating programs that create positive social change with diverse stakeholders and communities.

You will lead needs assessments, measure impact, and communicate findings to drive sustainable outcomes, while collaborating across internal teams and partner organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social sciences, public policy, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in program management, social work, or community development.
• Strong analytical and research skills, with experience in impact measurement and evaluation.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups effectively.
• Proficiency in project management tools and standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement social impact programs aligned with the organization's mission and strategic objectives.
• Conduct needs assessments and research to identify community challenges and opportunities for intervention.
• Monitor program progress, collect data, and analyze results to measure impact and inform future strategies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and other communication materials to disseminate program findings and impact.
